if you have this problem with the dog, i’m sure there are many others…. you can do a yahoo search for each behavioral problem you are experiencing with this dog.

So if you turn around and say “No!” has she successfully got attention? YES she has!!
If you pick her up and give her “time out”, has she gotten what she wants.. of course she has– i mean, that’s physical contact!!!.
If you so much as to make eye contact with her, has she made herself noticed?? What do you reckon??
Spraying her in the face is just a sadistic way of training.
Look, just walk away and dont even acknowledge anything she does that is attention seeking. That even goes for going up to you and does so much as licking your hand.. Walk away, it’s unacceptabe and your “princess” can’t expect to get what she wants whenever she wants it coz right now she’s spoilt rotten.
Everyone loves to say “Give her time out, say NO and she’ll learn that that’s no way of getting attention”
Would it make sense that ignoring her is actually teaching her that her actions are no way of getting attention? Walk off.. she’s not there!! She’ll eventually realise that, no matter how long it takes and she’ll go to her bed and lay down.. Then you go up to her and give her attention.
Attention to dogs is a treat and encouragment. Giving her attention when she’s doing something that you approve of is the right way to go. The majority of training is about giving your dog attention at the correct time.

See the connection?? There’s nothing wrong with giving your dog the name “princess” but sounds like you’re living by it. This can be fixed, start by stop spoiling her.
Good Luck.. honestly, i’m not being rude. Be firm with your dog, she’ll love you for it. Dont hit her by any means or spray her with a bottle.

put her on a leash. when she starts to exhibit this behavior and before the bite tell her no in a firm voice. pull her over to you and make her sit. make her stay there until she’s calm. ignor her and withold any attention. if she tries to go after the person again repeat the same action. she will learn this is not a way to get attention. you also need to get her into a good obedience class, not one like petsmart and train her. training will show her you are to be listened to and respected and do not allow for any biting for anything. teeth on skin is never acceptable. the trainer will work with you and show you how to take back your home. if you don’t she will just get worse and no one is going to come visit, or at least i personally wouldn’t. if you can’t control her behavior until you find a trainer you need to keep her in another room behind a closed door or in her crate. you can’t let her bite your company, that is a lawsuit waiting to happen. and please keep her away from all children until you have her better trained.

the only way to stop her from biting people is to tell her no and get a spray bottle and spray her when she is not being good. Chihuahua’s are known for wanting all of the attention. The other way to solve the problem is to just hold her in your arms or in your lap while you are talking to the other person. She will grow out of it as long as you use the spray bottle. She is only 7 months it will take some time.

Immediately remove her and give her a time out…..She will get it.

She will realize that biting gets her ZERO attention.
