What would cause my socialized male dog to suddenly act aggressive in the past month?
Madysen asked:
I have a 2 and a half year old goldendoodle. From when we first got him as a puppy i made sure that he was not aggressive and made sure he was sociable. He is neutered and is usually great with other dogs at both our house and with dogs at dog parks. But, about a month ago…about the time my grandma moved in with us with her older lab, Sam, my goldendoodle would suddenly would become aggressive very quickly. It started with the lab…where they would be playing at one moment and then they would get in small fights. But then we took him to the park the other day and he started to and he looked like he wanted to play, but he growled and jumped on top of the other dog. He didn’t draw blood, but i know he has never acted like this. Is it because of the new additional dog, or is he just in heat-or do boy dogs even pms???? What is the matter?! Help please:)

The other dog might be homing in on his territory and he is acting out. Also might be that he just plain doesn’t like Sam. My dog is usually very sweet with other dogs but if, say, she’s eating, she gets aggressive if they try to go after her food.

Your baby is an Alpha male…he doesn’t like another dog in his territory. All dogs come from wolves..wolves have alpha males/females.
Your baby certainly keeps his bloodline…

His territory has been invaded and he is making sure everyone knows he is the boss.
